Today the mission of the Missouri Province continues to attract men and women of faith and generosity
who want to make a difference in the world and to put their beliefs into action.

Some men who feel attracted to a life of service will consider becoming Jesuits and making a life-long commitment to the ideals developed by St. Ignatius centuries ago.

Others want to take part in service organizations and give a significant, but temporary part of their lives as volunteers. The Missouri Province sponsors three volunteer programs: the Alumn Service Corps, the Ignatian Volunteer Corps and the Jesuit Volunteer Corps.

Still others will pursue life-long careers as teachers, social workers, counsellors or other helping professions and see their work not just as a job but as a real expression of their own faith commitment. Jesuit schools and parishes increasingly depend on the contributions of such partners who take leadership roles and help guide the mission.

Still others participate through Ignatian spirituality, following the guidance of Ignatius and Jesuits who have learned how to listen to God in their own lives and are eager to share that joy with others
